Our Work
At LKBs, we implement a variety of development programs across Madhya Pradesh, supported by both donor agencies and self-financed initiatives. These programs aim to empower marginalized communities, promote sustainable practices, and create economic opportunities for women and vulnerable groups. Below are some of the key programs we are currently running:

Bharat India Jodo (BIJ3.0) Project – Panna, Madhya Pradesh
Supporting Agency: Reliance Foundation
- Scope: Working in 350 villages covering 12,000 households.
- Key Achievements:
- Promoting sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and budgeting across 670 hectares.
- Water harvesting efforts resulting in 9.5 lakh cubic meters of water storage.
- Support for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and the development of Non-Timber Forest Product (NTFP) value chains.
- Empowering women through Income Generation Schemes (IGS).
- Enhancing family health via nutrition gardens and promoting Vitamin A rich foods.
Strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) for improved governance

Rural Tourism Project – Jabalpur
Supporting Agency: MP Tourism Board
- Scope: Promoting tourism in two villages near Bhedaghat, Jabalpur.
- Key Achievements:
- Feasibility studies and mapping of tourism activities.
- Establishing 12 home-stay units and forming 7 community groups focused on tourism activities such as nature guiding, culture, food, and boating.

Climate Change Adaptation – Kareli, Jabalpur
Supporting Agency: NABARD
- Scope: Focused on climate resilience in Kareli, Jabalpur.
- Key Achievements:
- Establishment of vermicomposting units and waste management systems.
- Organizing awareness camps on health and climate change.
Conducting training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

Sustainable Agriculture Study – Madhya Pradesh
Supporting Agency: EKI Enking International
- Scope: Conducting a study across 7 districts of Madhya Pradesh.
- Key Achievements:
- Preparation of a detailed report and submission for funding.
- Profiling farmers for potential participation in carbon projects.

Promoting Aspiring Micro-Entrepreneurs (AMEs) – Panna District
Supporting Agency: Rajiv Gandhi Foundation
- Scope: Supporting 50 micro-entrepreneurs under Rajiv Ajivika Samwardhan Abhiyan.
- Key Achievements:
- Identification of 250 potential micro-entrepreneurs.
- Selection and training of business mentors and linking 50 AMEs to financial institutions.
- Operationalizing small businesses for increased income generation.

Promotion of Oyster Mushroom Cultivation – Tribal Women SHGs
Supporting Agency: NABARD, Bhopal
- Scope: Empowering tribal women through mushroom cultivation.
- Key Achievements:
- Mobilized 50 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for mushroom cultivation.
- Enabling women to earn Rs. 20,000/year as additional income.
